MakeMyMotherProud is pleased to announce our 11th Annual Santa’s Sleigh Run Christmas Parade for the Far Rockaway Community. We can’t believe it has been 11 years since Hurricane Sandy impacted our Far Rockaway community.
The Santa Sleigh Run Christmas Parade was inspired during Hurricane Sandy when we wanted to help people that lived in locations that were too far from distribution sites, parents that were disabled and couldn’t make it out to locations to get toys for their children, and most importantly, we wanted to bring holiday cheer right to the community’s doorsteps.
Each year, the Santa Sleigh run was amazingly successful, traveling over 5 miles singing and dancing through the Rockaway Streets on a twenty-seven (27) foot float provided by Bonds float.
